Flowers are the part of angiosperms that have to do with reproduction, angiosperms being seed bearing plants with seeds that are enclosed in tissue from the parent plant. Flowers occur on a stalk with a tip that contains the floral organs; sepals, petals, and stamens in male plants or carpels in female plants. Stamens produce pollen that is transferred to carpels by wind or insects, such as bees and butterflies. The shape and form of flowers is adapted to assist their mode of pollination.
